Elmer the Elephant

So, Harrison came home last week with the assignment that he had to make a book character out of recycling. We looked through books and came up with some ideas, then browsed our recycling collection and came up with Elmer the Elephant. We had one of the big pretzel jugs from Costco, milk gallons, some card board/paper board, soda cans, a 2 liter bottle and of course, the glue gun.

His body is the pretzel jug, his head is a 2 liter bottle, eyes are milk caps, trunk is the hanlde from a milk jug, ears are cut from a milk jug, legs are soda cans and his patchwork body is made from cut up boxes.
